These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of www.e-basel.com (“the Site”), operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates by Eng. Mohamad Basel Al Najjar in his capacity as a Civil Engineering Consultant, DIAC Arbitrator, Tribunal Chairman and Accredited Expert Witness.

By accessing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Site.

No professional relationship

Use of this website does not create a consultant-client, expert-client, arbitrator-party, or any other professional relationship between you and E-Basel. A professional relationship arises only on execution of a written engagement letter.

1. Conditions of use

You may access and use the Site for lawful, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any manner that violates UAE law, regulation, or any applicable international standard.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, any related systems, or any user accounts.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation, including through automated scraping, harvesting, or denial-of-service activity.
  • Misrepresent the source, ownership, or authorship of any content on the Site.
  • Use any content from the Site in connection with the marketing of competing services without express written consent.

2. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including articles, insights, expert reports, case studies, methodologies, lead magnets, templates, photographs and graphic elements — is the intellectual property of E-Basel or its licensors and is protected by UAE and international copyright law.

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to view and print Site content for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not, without prior written consent:

  • Reproduce, republish, or redistribute Site content in whole or in part.
  • Quote Site content in published material without proper attribution to E-Basel and a link to the source page.
  • Use Site content to train, fine-tune, or test artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  • Modify or create derivative works based on Site content.
  • Use any Site trademarks, logos, or distinctive branding without express written consent.

3. Nature of content

Content on the Site is published for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, expert opinion, formal expert evidence, or professional consultancy on any specific matter.   • Loss of business, profits, data, or opportunity.
  • Service interruption, technical failure, or cyber incident.
  • Reliance on links to third-party websites referenced from the Site.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites for reference. These links are provided for convenience. E-Basel does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

6. Termination of access

E-Basel reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, where access is being used in breach of these Terms or in a manner that exposes the Site to legal or operational risk.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE, except where E-Basel elects to commence proceedings in another competent jurisdiction.

8. Changes to these Terms

E-Basel may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
